Join us September 24th at 6:00 PM EST in Toronto for The Europeanization of NATO: Europe’s Role in the Future of NATO, a fireside chat led by the Honourable John McKay and a panel discussion featuring Dr. Pia Fuhrhop.
At a time when Europe’s dependence on the United States in defence is increasingly exposed to geopolitical uncertainty, the discussion will explore Europe’s evolving role within the Alliance, the implications of shifting US policies, and the growing imperative for Europe to strengthen its own military capabilities while preserving NATO as the cornerstone of collective defence.
Particular attention will be given to what role emerges for Canada as a close transatlantic partner within NATO. The event will be followed by a live audience Q&A and reception, and will be hosted in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Toronto.
