Episode 40 – Balancing Christian Values and Public Service
In this episode of evangelical 360°, I reflect on 27 years as a Member of Parliament and how I’ve worked to bring a faith-informed perspective to public service. Through nine elections as a Liberal MP, I’ve advocated for religious expression in public life without conflating faith with nationalism, collaborated across party lines, and passed five private members’ bills on issues like fire safety and supply chain transparency. I also offer encouragement to Christians considering political or civic engagement.
